Cepeda Cemetery was started in 1884 when Jose De Jesus Zepeda was buried there. He owned the Cepeda Ranch from 1847 until his death. Jose was born in Helotes in 1824. The cemetery was used for family burials until 1979 when Lucy Schilling Castaneda was buried there. Larry Wedige, owner of the adjacent property, maintains the cemetery and created this website.
